The Practice

North Ridge Surgery is situated in the centre of Hawkhurst, opposite the Colonnade, in a traditional white weatherboard building. Free parking for up to two hours is available in Waitrose supermarket car park nearby. We are a partnership of three Doctors with dispensing facilities, who are assisted by one other doctor. Surgery Reception is open from 8.30 am to 1.00 pm and from 1.30 pm to 6.00 pm Monday to Friday. We also operate extended hours on Tuesdays and are open from 7:00 AM (appointments only). The Area Covered By The Practice

We are happy to register patients in the villages of Hawkhurst, Sandhurst, Newenden, Benenden, Cranbrook, Hartley, Flimwell, Ticehurst, Hurst Green, Etchingham, Bodiam, Ewhurst, Staplecross and parts of Northiam, Rolvenden and Robertsbridge.

We encourage patients to have a ‘usual doctor’. Each Doctor prefers to see his or her own patients to provide personal continuity of service. If your Doctor is not available, however, one of the other Doctors will be happy to see you.

We hope you will not have any, but if you find fault with any of our services or if you feel there is any way in which we might improve them, please address your comments and suggestions to your Doctor or the Practice Manager. We do have a separate ‘Complaints Procedure’ leaflet, which can be obtained from Reception. Complaints can often be dealt with by an informal discussion or a meeting with the relevant parties. All complaints will be investigated. Our aim is to provide an acknowledgement to a complaint within 3 working days and written response within 10 working days or an agreed period of time if longer. Complaints should be made as soon after the event as possible, ideally no more than 6 months after the event occurred or you became aware of the reason to complain. If you remain unhappy with the response you have received you can within 28 days contact NHS England who has its own complaints system. Please click here for the complaint leaflet.
